Privacy Policy
How PRSPCT AI handles your data, the AI that helps draft your essays, and what minors and parents need to know.

1. Who we are
PRSPCT AI ("PRSPCT," "we," "us") is the operator of the PRSPCT AI mobile application for iOS and the website at prspct.ai. We can be reached at support@prspct.ai.
2. What we collect
To match you with scholarships and draft essays grounded in your real profile, we collect:
- Account data — name, email, age, parent email if under 16.
- Academic data — transcript, GPA, coursework, test scores, résumé, intended major. You provide this directly; we never scrape it from third parties.
- Application activity — scholarships you save, essays you draft, and deadlines you track inside the app.
- Device telemetry — crash reports and basic analytics (no advertising IDs).
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or biometric data.
3. Minors and parental consent
If you are under 16 we require a verified parent or guardian email at sign-up. Parents receive a read-only dashboard linked to the student's account and may request deletion of all data at any time by emailing support@prspct.ai. We follow COPPA-style principles for U.S. minors.
4. How AI processing works
Essay drafts and matching are powered by large language models operated by Anthropic on our behalf. Your academic data is sent to the model only when you trigger a draft or refresh your matches. We do not use your inputs or outputs to train any AI model, and our model provider is contractually prohibited from doing so.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers strictly necessary to run the app (hosting, payment processing, AI inference, crash reporting).
- Linked parents, when you've enabled the parent dashboard.
- Authorities, when required by valid legal process.
6. Retention and deletion
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. We purge your academic data within 30 days of deletion. Backups age out within 90 days.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Email support@prspct.ai and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will notify you in-app and update the date at the top of this page.
